THE NOOSA WEDDING EXPO - Noosa Springs Golf and Spa Resort
To go or not to go...
Weddings are a celebration and acknowledgement of love and commitment between two people, sharing their moment with those most loved and dear to them.
To my mind, the wedding day conjures up fond childhood memories and dreams...
... The perfect dress, on the perfect day in the perfect setting surrounded by beautiful people and shared most importantly with the perfect life partner...
Thirty some years on and I still cherish those childhood tea-party dreams.
However, reality has a wicked way of interfering with the most perfect dream and can even to turn dreams into nightmares.
Allow me to introduce myself. I am a 30-ish single girl. Contented friend and confidant, chef by trade, writer by hobby and participant of life by passion and now narrator of the many stories shared by friends and brides to be (thank goodness for Sirromet wines).
With that I ask yet again.... To go or not to go
Well to me the obvious answer is. GO!
For every great wedding I have attended I can honestly say I have shared an equal amount of teary after stories with newlywed friends suffering the” wish we would haves...”
It is inevitable. The wedding day is the moment BUT the months before are the price you pay for your special day. The dress, the invites, where to seat the guests, the type of food, music and, and, and. The list is endless and the planning could be likened to planning a trip to the moon. And hear me now I have contemplated the moon as an escape route when I hear of another upcoming wedding.
I have dragged many a bride to be to the latest wedding expo and walked away with a feel good, had a day out, am loaded with facts and info experience. It’s just a good idea and a great outing.
From bridal gowns to music and food, there they are all loaded with expertise and waiting to answer your every question. You get to sample, feel, taste and touch. Let your imagination run wild and have a lovely person real you in with budget realities or unseen opportunities. They are wedding dream makers who can put all your blueprint ideas into perspective.
It really is as simple as that, and with a good starting point, a blue print, you have taken at least ten giant steps toward your perfect day.
Yes, I know there are the typical cynics waiting to blast my theory to starry eyed dust. Well here’s my challenge for you to try beat...
Come to the It’s my wedding Noosa Springs Wedding Expo on Sunday 24 May. Make a day of it – yes bring hubby, maid of honour and in-laws to be as well. Take in the fashion parade showcasing the latest bridal fashions. While your eyes are glistening, your ears will be swaying to the sounds of the Offenbach Trio and your tongue wagging to the delectable delights offered by the Noosa Spring’s head chef Dave Page. And just when you thought it was too good to be true, you get to experience all this and more in the idyllic setting of the Noosa Springs Country Club sipping on all its glory with a glass of Sirromet’s new ‘love’ range wines.
Now I know I don’t need to ask it again or justify the statement....
The wedding expo...
