From the moment you step onto the aisle until your final dip on the dance floor, you'll ask a lot of your wedding shoes beyond looking beautiful.
Thought you've bought dozens (or is it hundreds?) of shoes before, picking a pair for this event requires some special considerations: the style and length of your gown, how tall you'd like to appear beside the groom, and of course, comfort.
Some women choose to buy shoes a half size larger as they will be wearing them for so long. This could be an option for a summer wedding when your feet are likely to become swollen from the heat and from standing for so many hours.
As you try on different styles and sizes, walk around in them a little longer than usual - or even dance a step or two - in the store to be sure they feel fine.
Bridal salons have chic selections, though you may find your shoes anywhere. While white satin pumps are the most classic, understated colours such as rose and soft gold or silver are elegant even with a traditional dress; adornments like rhinestones, crystals and pearls provide a little sparkle.
It's best to finalize your footwear before your first dress fitting, about eight weeks before the wedding. That way, the seamstress can adjust your gown accordingly, and you'll have time to break them in before their big debut.

QUEENSLAND WEDDING VENUES AND HONEYMOONS
Think carefully about the song that you choose. It’s really worth not choosing the obvious options, and considering going with something modern or quirky. There really is no need to go with something slow.
If you do want a slow song make sure that it has a strong beat, which will make it a whole lot easier to dance to.
Take dance lessons before the big day. Firstly it’s the best way to make sure you and your hubby look good and it also gives you great quality time together before the wedding

HONEYMOON AND WEDDING VENUES IN SUNSHINE COAST
What do I say on the invite? Nothing I think of sounds right.
Talk about pressure! The invitations are the guests' first glimpse of everything you want your wedding to be, and it's easy to miss the mark. Try to think of them as an extension of your wedding vision, as if you were giving your guests a taste of the magic you foresee for the day. For example, if you're saying your vows barefoot on the beach, you don't want to send out austere, traditionally worded invites; rather opt for something more organic, free form and friendly. Refer to it as a teaser of what is yet to come.' And that's exactly what the invite should be. http://www.itsmywedding.com.au

WHAT TO DO BEFORE THE WEDDING
So, the venue is booked, the dress is perfect, the invites are out and you're feeling like a four year old the night before Christmas. Only problem is, there's still a whole month before you can say "I do". Here are some tips on making the most of your last days of merry maidenhood.
A month before:
· Stop dieting. You don't want to look like a scarecrow. Eat and have fun with fiancĂ©, friends and family.
· Suck up to your future mother-in-law. If you really like her, go with her on a girly spa day. If you don't really know her but would like to, take her out to lunch. If you can't stand her, send her a friendly email. Think of it as a long term investment.
· Spend every weekend not watching sports on TV. Even if you actually like sports. Go shopping on a Saturday afternoon, read a book, have drinks with friends. A few months from now such simple acts will seem but a distant, rather exotic dream.
Two weeks before:
· If you insist on courting skin cancer, do your tanning now. But don't overdo it. You don't want to walk down the isle looking like Donatella Versace.
A week before:
· Get the flowers now so the blooms have time to open up.
· Do all necessary waxing now. This will allow enough time for the swelling to subside. And for you to stop screaming.
5 days before:
· Have a facial. This will feed your skin and make you feel pampered. It will also leave enough time for any weird allergies to subside. Not that I'm trying to freak you out here or anything, but do remember that little rule of nature called Murphy's law.
The day before:
· Put the flowers (that you forgot to get the week before) in warm sugar water. This will help them to open.
· Make sure you see your groom this should banish nerves. If seeing him makes you more nervous, it's time to grab those running shoes.
· Walk around without sucking in your stomach.
· Don't panic if the rehearsal is a disaster. Any stage actor will tell you a bad rehearsal guarantees a successful opening night.
· Get a good night's rest, you'll be needing it. (If you struggle to do this, please re-read the point above.)
On the day:
· Have a solid breakfast you'll probably be too nervous to eat much later on.
· Switch off your cell phone. No news is good news.
· Don't fight with your mother.
· Take a deep breath, knock back some bubbly and enjoy every minute.

THE BRIDAL SHOWER
Who is responsible?Traditionally the maid of honour/ bridesmaid hosts the shower, but, if necessary, other friends or family can help. If you’re a bride reading this, stop, email it to your best friend, and go and have a manicure.
What type of shower?Originally there was the Kitchen Tea. This involved home-made snacks, recipe ideas from maiden aunts and a fair amount of spatulas. Then the Hen’s Night or Bachelorette was born, complete with strippers, Tequila slammers and raunchy gifts.
How to choose? If you’re the person organising this particular event, it probably means that you’re close to the bride, so you should know what she would enjoy and feel comfortable with. If that turns out to be a cosy dinner with the girls, you’d better start phoning restaurants.
More than one shower? Not keen on having the bride’s granny cavorting with the stripper? (An image, incidentally, that will haunt you for the rest of your days…) Or worried that Crazy Kate might spike the punch at the kitchen tea? Rather be safe and have two showers. (Ha. Not all fun and games being a bridesmaid, is it?)

Weddings in Queensland

The choices of wedding venues in Queensland should appeal to those brides living in Australia and even more so to those living overseas in colder climates.
Queensland weather is great , the beaches are superb and there are many romantic mountain hideaways, exotic island destinations and sophisticated or casual wedding venues for the bride to be to choose from.
